Juicy J – “Ain’t Nothing” / Single Review

Yesterday, the Memphis OG, Juicy J, dropped his single for his upcoming album, “Rubba Band Business : The Album”. While the album was initially announced in August of last year. In May, an unmastered leak of a Drake/Ty$ collabo appeared on the net and the single “Gimme Gimme” featuring Slim Jxmmi had also been released.

However, his newest single featuring label-mates, Wiz Khalifa and Ty$ team up for the booming Mike WiLL Made-It produced “Ain’t Nothing“.

Mike provides a glistening Trap banger with a thumping bass, smooth hi-hat pattern and glistening keys. Juicy always provides LiT verses and never fails to get me ready to get turnt up…even if I am sitting at my desk while at work. I was a bit nervous of listening to Wiz’s contribution to the track as his performance on “Rude Awakening” was forgettable for most tracks. Although, on this track, his flow, rhyme scheme and energy is alike to some of his best work, such as “Cabin Fever” and “Taylor Allderdice“. As well as this, Ty’s vocals on the chorus add a grittier and darker sound to the track.
