Flatbush ZOMBiES – Babel Single Review

Following their success from their wickedly trippy, ear-dropping debut studio album, ‘3001: A Laced Odyssey’, everyone’s favourite American ZOMBiES returned on Saturday with their new “unreleased” single ‘Babel’.

Obviously, Flatbush ZOMBiES in-house producer, Erick Arc Elliott (The Architect) produced this mellow smoke-weed-to track. Firstly starting with wavy synths, slow guitar chords and sweet piano keys, it then transitions with heavy hi-hats, jumpy bassline and quick placement of the keys the track began with. Erick and Zombie Juice provide the first 3 verses, going in about their psychedelic experiences and rise to fame. However, when Meech comes in, the bass is ear-breaking. While Meech’s vocals are the most experimental he’s ever shown on a ZOMBiE track, it adds a darker and more drug-induced ViBE to the song.

In overall, it’s good to hear the ZOMBiES are still making music and I can’t wait for the follow up to their debut.
